The IDE DVD drive for the Mini is a slim line slot-in DVD burner. It is embedded in a silent box, which absorbs vibration and noise which ensures a very quiet operation. The heat generated by the drive is dissipated by copper plates that surround the drive. The copper plates also make contact with the case’s outer heatsinks.
